Unity3D and HTTP

Today we found out, that Unity3D has some unexpected limitations. Even though it’s working smoothly on most systems, using HTTP is not. The Web Players and the Windows Editor (Beta) can’t make the “usual” WebRequests we use internally. The exported Windows executable is running nicely though.

MobileBits Visiting

Arena Wars (PC)

Arena Wars (PC)

In February the guys from MobileBits visited us. They are a team of enthusiastic people and founded MobileBits only a short while ago to focus on iPhone development. But they are by far no amateurs. With their other company,  exDream, they already proved their expertise when they developed the highly successful “Arena Wars”.  Benjamin Nitschke, one of the founders and lead programmer, not only wrote an acclaimed book on XNA development but is also Microsoft MVP (“Most Valuable Professional”) since 2006 in the category XNA/DirectX.

Exit Games Coverage #1

A while ago, Exit Games was visited by a German team of creative reporters on their tour through Germany. Searching innovative high-tech companies, they travel across the country in what they call “Projekt Deutschlandreise” and report their visits and interviews on their blog website.

Projekt Deutschlandreise #1 - Surviving By Innovation

Their first crazy blog video is now online, filmed in the belly of a Russian submarine from the 1970′s, Chris was asked about how innovation can help survive in the times of a world economic crisis. Unfortunately, it’s in German only. But maybe you’d like to have a look?
